Somewhere in the gap between an artists' creative expression and a gallery's eager acceptance, there is a need for an artist to find a voice and a venue.
Founded in June of 2005 by Sharon R. Reaves, (www.reavesgallery.com) the goal of Starting-Artists is to allow these amazing, yet momentarily undiscovered artists to find a safe haven to express themselves and to gain skills to better prepare them for the long road leading to the fulfillment of their dreams.
Services include:
- Event planning and management
- Marketing and Public Relations
- Curation of select corporate and public spaces
- One-on-One consultation ($50 per hour)
- General hand holding and cheerleading (not to be under-estimated)

Reaves is also the founder/owner of Reaves Gallery located at 235 Gough Street at Hickory in Hayes Valley.
Reaves serves on the executive board of artSFest and the art committee for the ARC of SF. She is a frequent consultant and featured speaker for ArtSpan and is a juror and committee member for the Art For Aids Auction 2008. Above all, She is a collector of art and a lover of artists.
